A LITTLE ABOUT US

We are a hobby farm and Homestead in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina 20 minutes south of Asheville. We are raising working and companion dogs in order to benefit the breed of Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Lexie is our constant companion and working dog, she never fails to help out on the hobby farm.

Lexie is a family dog.  Her calm demeanor and temperament make this breed perfect for families.

HISTORY OF THE BREED

The Rhodesian Ridgeback has also previously been known as Van Rooyen's lion dog or the African Lion Hound or African Lion Dog because of its ability to keep a lion at bay while awaiting its master's arrival.
